Instead of doing the same exact thing every year for your holidays, pick the same day related to the holiday (the eve, weekend before, etc) and set that as your holiday tradition time.

Here’s the key: Pick a fun new age appropriate activity that year for your family to do.

Maybe making gingerbread houses is fun for your 5-7 year aged kids, but by the time they are 12-14 they would be more interested and excited about shopping and filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Don’t get hung up on replicating the same experience year after year, focus on your people and serving them where they are at.
